Community Update: Building a Better Neighborhood Together
It was great to see everyone at our most recent meeting on February 2nd! We have some exciting momentum building around our neighborhood improvements and upcoming social events. Here is a recap of what we discussed and where we’re headed next.
Ramp and Entrance Updates
We’ve been hard at work evaluating the best ways to refresh our community’s “first impression” and maintain our shared amenities while staying budget-conscious.
- Entrance Wall Revamp: After reviewing several quotes ranging up to $8,000, the community has decided to go the DIY route. Neighbors have stepped up to volunteer their time to fill cracks and stucco over the existing wall.
- Status: Bricks are currently being collected and cleaned. We still need about 10–20 more bricks to finish the job—if you have any spares, please let us know!
- Signage: Since the entrance signs sit on private property, Alex is reaching out to the homeowners to ensure everyone is on board with the updates.
- Boat Ramp & Dock Repairs: Safety is a priority, and we’re happy to report that the hole on the dock has been repaired. * The boat ramp repair is estimated at $4,000. To cover this, Alex will be reaching out to residents along the lake and those who utilize the ramp for boats or jet skis to help raise the necessary funds.
- Note: Once the ramp is repaired, access will be limited to residents who contribute to its maintenance and repair.
Upcoming Events & New Business
Mark your calendars! We have two big community-wide events in the works:
- Spring Community Yard Sale: We are looking at a date in March or early April. We will market this on neighborhood apps, but stay tuned to the community bulletin board for the final date.
- Summer Kick-Off Celebration: What better way to enjoy a newly repaired boat ramp? We’re planning a neighborhood event for late April. A dedicated discussion thread will be created on the website soon for planning.
Stay Connected
Our Community Website is officially live! It features a digital bulletin board where you can post topics, ask questions, or connect with neighbors. We encourage everyone to jump in and start a conversation.
Next Meeting: Monday, April 20th.
